Starting with homeschooling! Need guidance!

My kiddo needs recommendations with history. Can minors in Gregg County, Texas be homeschooled? It would be great if could get feedback on the homeschool program for Texas. I'd be thankful for any advice.

Hi, Absolutely. You are allowed to home-school in Gregg County, Texas. It is permitted. You just need to meet the Texas required conditions to homeschool in Gregg County, Texas. Homeschooling in Texas is considered one of the best places to homeschool in the U.S. as it requires very little government control. Parents in Texas are free to choose many of the things they deem appropriate for their child to learn. A parent or guardian homeschooling their child elsewhere than at school is not required by law to be licensed as a teacher in Texas. Having said this, studying with curriculum developed by a state licensed teacher is highly recommended even if the licensed educator is not a Texas teacher.
