Help finding secular Texas study skills curriculum

  Yaritzy_homeschooler » Sun, 27 Dec 2020 11:30:41 AM

Greetings everybody,homeschool-placer I am a bit new to online homeschooling but I really believe that online homeschooling is the way to continue studying. Our family's religion is Christian but we would like to find a secular study skills course for Texas. Any ideas where I should look first? I would be thankful if someone with homeschool experience can give me some ideas or pointers.

Hi, I think you may want to also go through study skills courses that are accredited at the national level instead than being based on Texas's curriculum. Most students end up applying to many colleges including out of state. You can see some study skills lessons here: study skills homeschool course and remedial or self-paced homeschool program. It doesn't need to be a Texas teacher either.

I would probably start by taking a look at the study skills courses listed here: study skills course and lesson resources. Good luck with your homeschool efforts!

I understand you are looking to find an accredited Texas study skills curriculum nonetheless, I think I would probably check out a student led study skills curriculum or study skills video lessons that are by either state or nationally accredited by the government teachers. It doesn't need to be specific to Texas.
