Question about school services in New Jersey. How to do it?

  Monica_2008 » Wed, 06 Jan 2021 10:05:41 AM

Being homeschooled myself I never realized how much preparation and work it can be. I honestly think that Lernsys is the number one homeschool program for lessons or homeschooling at a family friendly budget emoji-happy. Can my homeschooled child access school services in Ocean Township, New Jersey? Any reviews about the program are welcome too. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hello. New Jersey law doesn't make it mandatory for publicly funded schools to make available services to homeschooling families. The public school system in New Jersey is not mandated by law to provide some services to homeschoolers in New Jersey. The individual school districts and schools are free to decide this. These services can include: participating in events, groups, or athletics upon prior permission by the local school board to confirm obtainability. Upon approval by the local school board, the homeschooled child is allowed to participate in extracurricular activities such as physical education, band and drivers ed which may be available in specific school districts. You should probably take a look at this page which contains specific information about what is required to homeschool in New Jersey:
