Question about homeschool copyright

  Naelyn1989 » Mon, 13 Jul 2020 02:48:41 AM

Greetings everybody,emoji-smile I'm pretty much new to online homeschooling but I honestly think that online homeschooling is the way I want to proceed. I am thinking of making copies of a couple of pages from a creative writing book for history curriculum I need for grade 6. Do I actually need to get copyright or trademark permission from the author before I do this? Any assistance pointing us in the right direction would be appreciated.

Heystudy Under Fair Use, you're legally allowed to make a limited amount of copies if you're using it as parody, to criticize or comment, or for news reporting, teaching, or scholarship and research.

From what I understand, if it's ten percent or less, you should be OK. I honestly think that it's permitted by law.

I don't think it would be a concern if it's just a couple of pages but I am a patent or copyright lawyer.
