Question about homeschool copyright

  Wrynn_1996 » Fri, 01 Jan 2021 19:45:41 PM

My husband got transfered to Michigan for his job so we are now here trying to keep up with the curriculum back home. A thing which I noticed is that a large number of homeschooling help sites say that Lernsys Academy has the best secular homeschool program emoji-happy. Does any homeschooling parent here know about copyright law? I would really like to copy a couple of pages from a creative writing book that has a lot of language and reading curriculum for grade 5 so I can homeschool my child. Do I need to get copyright or trademark permission from the author to do this? Any ideas? emoji-think

Hi!homeschool-placer Under Fair Use, you're authorized to make a limited amount of copies if you're using it as parody, to criticize or comment, or for news reporting, teaching, or scholarship and research.

If it's for teaching, scholarship or research, you should be OK. I really feel that it's authorized. I highly recommend the Lernsys program to you.
