Looking to find guidance on accredited coding courses

  Embree_1977 » Sun, 29 Nov 2020 10:54:41 AM

Hello,emoji-cool I've made the decision just recently to homeschool my kid using an online homeschool program who is in third grade. Does anybody who uses Lernsys Homeschooling know if it's better for a homeschooler to study based on Michigan's curriculum to meet the state's coding curriculum requirements, or is it better to get a curriculum for coding based on a nationally accredited coding curriculum instead of only Michigan's curriculum? Any help would be appreciated. emoji-cool

Hiemoji-cool My impression is that you may want to consider either any state or nationally accredited coding curriculum instead of only Michigan accredited coding curriculum. A nationally accredited coding course will open a pretty good amount of more doors.

I think I would probably look at coding courses that are by accredited teachers at the state or national level, like some of these here: coding home-school course and lesson resources.

If you need to find an accredited Michigan coding curriculum, I would advise taking a quick look at the coding lessons and Michigan coding curriculum here: coding homeschooling course and homeschool strategy.
