Welcome! I believe you may want to also take a look at drawing and art courses that are accredited at the national level instead than being based on California's curriculum. Most students end up applying to many colleges including out of state. You can see some drawing and art classes here: art homeschool courses and accredited curriculum. I don't think it needs to be by a California teacher either only.

My recommendation if you need a secular drawing and art course (one that is not based on Buddhist doctrine) for California, is to go through the courses listed here: art homeschool courses and remedial or self-paced homeschool program.
