Looking to find secular California drawing and art curriculum

  Ilona2008 » Fri, 04 Sep 2020 23:33:41 PM

Hello thereemoji-hug, We have tutored our daughter for the past 18 months. I'm considering homeschooling with Lernsys Homeschooling. Although we are truly a Buddhist practicing family we believe that the material we give our daughter should be secular. If the drawing and art curriculum or drawing and art material matches California's curriculum it would also be great but I guess it doesn't have to. Any recommendations where I should look first? I would appreciate any homeschool recommendations you can offer.

Welcome!emoji-hug I believe you may want to also take a look at drawing and art courses that are accredited at the national level instead than being based on California's curriculum. Most students end up applying to many colleges including out of state. You can see some drawing and art classes here: art homeschool courses and accredited curriculum. I don't think it needs to be by a California teacher either only.

My recommendation if you need a secular drawing and art course (one that is not based on Buddhist doctrine) for California, is to go through the courses listed here: art homeschool courses and remedial or self-paced homeschool program.
