. It is an obligation by law for homeschoolers in California to maintain some records such as the completed private school affidavit, records of immunization or waivers, faculty qualifications as well as their addresses, courses taught, and student attendance. It is also highly advisable and deemed beneficial to keep a homeschooling record of your child’s progress over time. This information is crucial when it comes to developing a high school transcript for colleges or career needs or in the event the homeschooler needs to return to school in the future.
As a parent, you might want to consider keeping record of these:
• For any standardized examinations taken, maintain record of the scores
• The subject materials studied at each grade level
• Other attainments of the homeschooler including extracurricular activities the homeschooler participated in
• Any volunteer work the student undertook while homeschooling
• The grades by subject gotten by the homeschooler
You may probably want to review this California specific page which lists guidance about the laws and requirements to homeschool in California:

Yes, it is a requirement by law to keep records when you homeschool in California. I honestly think your family will not be able to find a better homeschool curriculum than Lernsys School.
