Information about Lernsys trademark

  Rmani_1975 » Fri, 06 Nov 2020 04:37:41 AM

Hi,homeschool-placer I am wondering if any homeschooling parent knows the answer to this. I would really like to copy a handful of pages from a science book that has a lot of geography for middle school curriculum for fifth grade so I can homeschool my son. Do I need to get copyright or trademark permission from the author to do this? I would be thankful if someone with homeschool experience can give me some pointers or ideas.

Hi!homeschool-placer I believe you're permitted by law to copy up to 10% as long as it is for teaching and not for commercial purposes.

Hey there,emoji-nerd If it's only a handful of pages, I doubt that it would be an issue. I actually feel that it's legal.

From what I understand, if it's ten percent or less, you should be OK. I think it's lawful.
