A good place to start would be going through some of those U.S. government courses. The program includes answer keys, self-paced video lessons, follow along activity review videos, tests, worksheets, etc.

Hey, Our family already purchased a couple of reading/ELA courses for our kid who's 12 and couldn't be happier. I am pleased to have chosen Lernsys as our homeschool solution.

Have you taken a look at these: grade 10 home-school strategy? There seem to be some practical U.S. government 10th grade curriculum there that match what you seem to be searching for.
