I feel that you can find what you're looking for, I feel that you may want to check out science lessons or a Illinois science program that is accredited either at the state or national level instead than being based only on Illinois's science curriculum. I say this because is that many students often apply to universities including out of state. See for example: grade 1 homeschool curriculum.
