Hi! Parents in Illinois get to decide when their homeschooled student will graduate and then award the children a diploma upon graduation. Homeschooled students in Illinois meet graduation requirement upon determination by the parent. As a matter of law, compulsory attendance of a student until the age of 17 is required in Illinois and after that, parents are free to determine the requirements for when the high schooler will receive a diploma.
