Good day everyone,homeschool-placer What are the high school graduation guidelines in Illinois? I'd be thankful for any recommendations.

Hi!homeschool-placer Parents in Illinois get to decide when their homeschooled student will graduate and then award the children a diploma upon graduation. Homeschoolers in Illinois are not required by law to undertake any test to graduate. Families in Illinois are at liberty to include what they find important to military, future workplace organizations and colleges when creating their student's transcripts. Homeschooled students in Illinois meet graduation requirements upon determination by the parent. A parent may decide to assign credits to individual courses studied in the course of the homeschooling period. With few exceptions, almost all fifty states including Illinois permit a parent to give a homeschool diploma for their own children. Employers in Illinois are not allowed to discriminate against a homeschool diploma or give preference to a person whose diploma awarded by a public school. Many universities in Illinois and elsewhere actively make an effort to recruit homeschooled students. Feel free to ping me if you need other homeschool suggestions.

Homeschooled students in Illinois meet graduation requirement upon determination by the parent. As a matter of law, compulsory attendance of a student until the age of 17 is required in Illinois and after that, parents are free to determine the requirements for when the high schooler will receive a diploma.
