Homeschooling and access to school services in Illinois

  Teresita_homeschooler » Sun, 20 Dec 2020 00:50:41 AM

Can my homeschooled child access school services in Quincy, Illinois? If someone can share their experience with the program, and any Illinois homeschool groups I would be thankful.

Hey there.study Definitely, homeschooled children have the ability to have access to certain school services in Illinois. The public school system in Illinois is obligated by law to provide some services to students in Illinois. The individual school districts and schools get to decide this and you should contact them before May 1. These services may include: participating in events, groups, or athletics upon prior permission by the local school board to confirm obtainability. Upon approval by the local school board, the student is given permission to participate in extracurricular activities such as physical education, band and drivers ed which may be available in specific cities. I suggest you take a look at this page which lists specific guidance about what is required to homeschool in Illinois:

Yes, homeschoolers can access a few school services in Illinois. You may be able to access some services but will need to check with the school district. You should probably take a look at this page which includes specific facts on what is required to homeschool in Illinois:

Most definitely, homeschooled students are permitted to access some school services in Illinois. Some services may be available if the school district gives you access to it.
