Homeschool help needed

Hello homeschooling moms and dads!homeschool-placer We have tested private classes and it's just too expensive. Can I teach at home my son in Knox County, Illinois? I'd be thankful for any advice.

Welcome to the group!homeschool-placer The answer is yes, nevertheless, you need to make sure you meet the mandatory requirements to be able to homeschool your son in Knox County, Illinois. Parents just have three regulations to homeschool in Illinois. Homeschooling is legal in Illinois. The law in Illinois treats homeschools as "private schools". You are not required to register your school nor are you required to have your school recognized by the state of Illinois. The law does not allow its registration or to be officially recognized. Certainly. You are entitled by law to homeschool your son in Knox County, Illinois.
