Homeschool copyright

  Jasira2002 » Thu, 01 Oct 2020 10:41:41 AM

Good day everyone,emoji-hug Our family just recently moved to Illinois and and so we now need a highly recommended homeschooling program for our kiddo. Does someone know if I need to get trademark permission from the publisher first before I copy a couple of pages from a language and reading book for homeschooling? I need to make the copies because I need some English language arts curriculum for grade 5. Any comments are welcome!

Hey there,homeschool-placer Under Fair Use, you are allowed by law to make a limited amount of copies if you are using it as parody, to criticize or comment, or for news reporting, teaching, or scholarship and research.

Hi!emoji-hug I don't think it would be a problem if it's just a couple of pages but you may want to take this with a grain of salt as I am not a copyright attorney.

Welcome, study I believe if it's under ten percent that you're copying, it is lawful but I am not a lawyer.
