This course is designed for students in grades kindergarten to second or any beginning elementary art student. Classes are presented in a non-indimidating format and projects are designed for all ability levels. The class contains 46 lessons, and classes are divided into 3 sections.

Course Goals:

Upon completion students will have the foundation that every beginning artist needs. Students will be able to recognize and implement the 7 elements of art. They will also have a strong art history foundation with an introduction to 18 famous artists and their artistic styles as well as knowledge on how to conduct an art criticism as per standards.

In addition, they will gain bilateral coordination and fine motor skills. They will also know the names and uses for numerous artist tools through hands-on art projects. 

Target Audience:

This class was designed with Kindergarten through second grade in mind, but is also absolutely appropriate for any beginning elementary aged artist.
