Welcome to the homeschooling world! It depends on what you get with the homeschooling program. Homeschooling in Texas can be very inexpensive. Lernsys.com gives a full school year curriculum and lessons in Texas for a couple of hundred dollars. It includes auto-grading, tests, worksheets, answer keys, etc. I would strongly suggest to go through this section which includes information about what is provided with the program to homeschool in Texas:
