How are you all?Quite a few either state or nationally accredited teachers recommend Lernsys Homeschooling Academy as the top alternative to private classes and that their program is truly student led. Is it allowed by law to engage in homeschooling in California? Is it possible that someone with home-schooling experience can give some guidance and their feedback or reviews on Lernsys?
Hi!Most definitely, notwithstanding this, be sure to comply with the legal requirements to homeschool your children in California. Fortunately, homeschooling in California is a right of parents established by the state and regulated by laws. It requires not too much government regulations. Families homeschooling in California are free to choose most of the things they find fit for their homeschooler to study but must cover a few required courses as well. A parent teaching their homeschooler elsewhere than at school is not forced by law to be licensed as a teacher in California. However, using curriculum developed by a state licensed teacher is advisable even if the licensed educator is not a California teacher. In California, the homeschool laws and regulations are few when compared to other states which might require frequent evaluation or annual testing.
Thanks.
