Hi, I think you may want to also go through study skills courses that are accredited at the national level instead than being based on Texas's curriculum. Most students end up applying to many colleges including out of state. You can see some study skills lessons here: study skills homeschool course and remedial or self-paced homeschool program. It doesn't need to be a Texas teacher either.

I would probably start by taking a look at the study skills courses listed here: study skills course and lesson resources. Good luck with your homeschool efforts!
