Is home-schooling authorized in Niles IL?

I'm somewhat new to online homeschooling but I really feel that online homeschooling is the way to continue learning. Is it legal to homeschool under Illinois law? Any comments on the program also? I'd be thankful if anybody enrolled on the Lernsys home-schooling study program for this subject, art or math can give any comments.
